Citizens of Republic of Uzbekistan have the right to get associated into trade unions, political parties and other public associations, participate in mass movements. No one can infringe rights, freedoms and dignity of persons constituting oppositional minority in political parties, public associations, mass movements and also representative bodies of power (Art. 34 of the Constitution).

Citizens of Republic of Uzbekistan have the right to get associated into trade unions, political parties and other public associations, participate in mass movements. No one can infringe rights, freedoms and dignity of persons constituting oppositional minority in political parties, public associations, mass movements and also representative bodies of power (Art. 34 of the Constitution).
Public associations in the Republic of Uzbekistan are acknowledged organizations of veterans and youth, creative unions, mass movements and other associations of citizens, registered in accordance with the order prescribed by the law (Art. 56 of the Constitution). The state ensures observation of rights and lawful interests of public associations and creates equal legal possibilities for their participation in public life (Art. 58 of the Constitution).

The Rules for Consideration of Applications to Registration the Charters of Public Associations Acting on the Territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan (Adopted by a Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers on March 12, 1993).
Possible restrictions and suspensions
Public associations and citizens act in accordance with the Constitution and laws (Art. 15 of the Constitution). No public association, movement can act on behalf of people of Uzbekistan (Art. 10 of the Constitution). Public associations are obliged to provide citizens with a possibility to get familiarized with documents, decisions and other materials impacting their rights and interests (Art. 30 of the Constitution). Everyone is guaranteed with the right to appeal the illegal actions of public associations to the court (Art. 44 of the Constitution).
