Internally displaced persons (IDPs)
Internal displacement is not an issue of concern in the United Kingdom. However as the UK is a signatory to UN instruments such as the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (1950), the International Covenant on Economic, Cultural and Social Rights (1950) and the European Convention on Human Rights (1950), legal safeguards are in place if internal displacement where to occur in the UK.
