The Aliens Act was amended by inter alia Act No 379 of 25 April 2007 which introduced the possibility of a test of Danish language and knowledge on Danish society as a condition for the issuing of a residence permit in most cases encompassed by Section 9 (1) (1) (aliens over 24 years of age who cohabit at a shared residence with persons over 24 years of age permanently resident in Denmark – see the Act for details) or Section 9 f (religious preachers etc.), cf. Section 9 (2) following the amendment of the Aliens Act. The mentioned part of the Aliens Act concerning the mentioned test must, however, be enacted by order of the Minister of Refugee, Immigration and Integration Affairs.
