III. GUARDIANSHIP IN SPECIAL CASES (SPECIAL GUARDIAN)

Article 167

For the purpose of protecting individual personal and property rights and interests a social welfare centre shall appoint a special guardian:

1. to a child in maternity and paternity disputes referred to in Article 75 hereof,

2. to a child in the procedure referred to in Article 111, 112 and 114 hereof,

3. to a child when there is a conflict of interest between the child and the child's parents in property procedures or disputes, i.e. in the event of entering into individual legal transactions,

4. to children in the event of disputes or entry into legal transactions between them when the same person exercises parental care over them,

5. to a child of foreign citizenship who is encountered on the territory of the Republic of Croatia without his or her legal representative,

6. in other events when there is a conflict between the interests of a child and the parents.
