Section 4(2)(3)
Chiefs are responsible for when and where directed patrol is necessary based on crime factors, call and public disorder analysis, criminal intelligence and road safety.
Sections 5 & 6
Chiefs must establish procedures for the communications and dispatch services and ensure those providing these services and those supervising them have the required training.
Section 10
Chiefs must establish procedures and supervision and must ensure supervisors have knowledge and skills and abilities to supervise.
Section 12
Chiefs are required to develop and maintain procedures and processes for undertaking and managing general investigations.
Section 14
Chiefs are required to establish procedures for investigation supports, the collection, handling, analysis of evidence, and obtaining assistance at another police force when required. Chiefs must also ensure persons providing investigation support have proper training.
Section 34
Chiefs are required to establish procedures for investigation of complaints.
Section 35
Chiefs to implement a quality assurance process regarding the delivery of adequate and effective police services and compliance with the Police Services Act and its regulations. (catch-all duty).
