Article 43

An alien member of the immediate family of a Croatian citizen may have his temporary stay extended for up to 3 years, or until he fulfils the requirements for the issuing of approval of permanent stay.

To the alien member of immediate family, temporary stay could be extended even if the Croatian citizen or alien from Article 42(1) of this law has died, and in the case of the ending of marriages which in the Republic of Croatia lasted for at least 3 years.
