Article 163. Hindrance to holding meetings, rallies, demonstrations and processions or to participation therein.

Hindrance to holding lawful meetings, rallies, demonstrations and processions or to participation therein, as well as forcing to participate in legal or illegal meetings, rallies, demonstrations and processions, with violence or threat thereof, is punished with a fine in the amount of 100 to 300 minimal salaries, or with arrest for the term of up to 2 months, or with imprisonment for the term of up to 2 years.

Article 225. Mass disorders

1. Organization of public disorders with use of violence, arson, destruction of or damage to property, with use of arms, explosive materials or equipment, or with resorting to armed resistance to representatives of authorities shall be punished with imprisonment of 4-10 years.

2. The direct execution of acts described in point 1 of the present article shall be punished with imprisonment for 3-8 years.

3. Acts described in points 1 and 2 of the present article, if resulted in murder, shall be punished with imprisonment of 6-12 years.

4. Failure to obey the lawful demands of representatives of authorities during mass disorders, or calls for mass disorders or violence against individuals shall be punished with correctional labor for up to 2 years, or arrest for up to 2 months, or imprisonment for up to 3 years.

Article 225.1. Organization and holding of public events with violation of procedures stipulated by law

1. Organization and holding of public events with violation of procedures stipulated by law shall be punished with a fine in the amount of 200-300 times the minimal salary, or arrest for up to 3 months.

2. Calls for ignoring the decision to terminate public events organized or held with violation of procedures stipulated by law shall be punished with a fine in the amount of 300-500 times the minimal salary, or arrest for up to 3 months.
