THE LAW of 26 October 1982
on education for temperance and alcoholism prevention
Art. 40.
1. Persons in condition of intoxication, who through their behaviour have caused public disorder/indignation in public place or work place, and/or who are in condition threatening their life or health, or life and health of other persons, can be forcibly escorted to the de-toxication chamber, health care unit or another facility established or indicated by local government organ, or to their place of residence or stay.
2. In the case when de-toxication chamber has not been organised, such persons can be forcibly escorted to Police force unit.
3. Persons forcibly escorted to de-toxication chamber or Police force unit are kept in custody until sober, however not longer than 24 hours. Persons under 18 years of age are kept in separate premises, separated from adults.
